Hot Press Cleaning and Maintenance Procedure:

1. Drain the original heat transfer oil from the system, check that the circulation piping is unobstructed, and ensure the system remains clear.

2. Cleaning: Add the hot-oil circulation cleaning agent to the reservoir and activate the circulation pump; do not apply heat—perform the process at room temperature. Toggle the system valves to ensure all sections are cleaned; it is recommended to switch valves every hour for a total cleaning duration of 4 hours (extend this time if there is a thick layer of oil residue in the system). Open sections of the circulation piping to inspect the cleaning progress. If the oil appears heavily contaminated, extend the cleaning time until all components are clean before proceeding to the next step.

3. Draining: Drain the cleaning agent and oil mixture from the system into a collection container. If equipment allows, use an air compressor to purge any remaining liquid from the jackets. If air purging is not possible, open the valves and allow the system to air-dry naturally.

4. Cleaning Agent Recovery: Do not discard the cleaning agent after use. Although it may turn black, it can be reused. The reaction between the cleaning agent and oil coke is a polar-phase dissolution reaction; consequently, an oil layer forms at the top of the cleaning fluid, while oil residues settle at the bottom. Simply siphon off the top oil layer and reuse the cleaning fluid for future maintenance to achieve the same results.
