To make the best use of a hot press, it is essential to have a thorough understanding of its cleaning procedures. Let’s explore the cleaning process in detail with the team from Rongfa Machinery, a hot press manufacturer.
1. Before cleaning, drain the existing heat transfer oil from the system and verify that the circulation piping is clear to ensure the system remains unobstructed.

2. Cleaning: Switch system valves to keep system components clean. It is recommended to switch valves every hour. The entire cleaning process should take 4 hours. If the oil layer in the system is thick, the cleaning time should be increased accordingly. Open the circulation pipeline for cleaning and check the cleaning status. If there is oil contamination, increase the cleaning time until all parts are cleaned before proceeding to the next step.
3. Draining: Drain the cleaning agent and oil from the system into a cleaning container. If possible, use an air compressor to blow away any remaining liquid in the jacket.
4. Recovering the Cleaning Agent: Do not drain the cleaning agent after cleaning. Although it may turn black, it can be reused. The cleaning agent readily dissolves in oil tar, forming an oil layer on top of the cleaning solution. After cleaning the heat transfer oil, there will be oil residue at the bottom. Simply pump out the oil layer, and the cleaning solution can be reused for the next equipment cleaning.
